Alright guys i have alot of questions.

i recently just bought my unlocked blackberry storm 9530

v5.0.0.328(plat form 4.2.0.128)

well i am trying to get mms and internet browser on it. but first of all it would not connect to my computer. and i have everything set up already. turning mass storage on.

i tried different ports different usb wires and different computers. it still doesnt work. i want to uprrade the blackberry storm to a new firmware.

please help me. ill pay money via paypal. i really want this phone to work right.

i am using it on tmobile.

It sounds like the problem is the usb port, does your storm connect to any computer or does it charge when you plug it into a wall outlet,

im not sure what the problem is then, if your using mulitiple wires and computers, are you sure everything is turned on in options->memory, like mtp. if that doesn't work try uninstalling desktop manager and reinstalling it. Also i forgot to ask, is you entire computer not seeing the storm or is desktop manager the problem

my entire computer. i dont think its connecting. its just charging thats it.

idk its just not connecting to the computer. i checked the device manager. ill try doing this on a different computer. also just wondering. to get mms and internet working do u have to have, blackberry data plan?

You need to have a blackberry specific internet plan from your carrier (tmobile). blackberries only run on BIS internet.

I am now in Vietnam & want to unlock my bb 9530.This is a present from my friend in USA.But when I go to options>advanced options>sim card& then type MEPD ,it appeared:
sim : disable
Network: active
network subset: disable
service provider :disable
Corporate : disable
Does anyone tell me please, what does it means&what I have to do then?
2/How can I change the "encryption" to disable instead of enable but with a locked sign?
I'll appreciate for any of you help.

Have you turned the mass storage option on? You may be able to get the phone to connect to the computer that way.

yeah i have turned mass storage on i did everything possible. my blackberry wouldnt connect to any computer. unless its the usb wire im using. because its not the original one.
