i just downloaded .148 and installed it.. now im trying to plug in my BB to upload it to my phone and now it wont recognize my BB on my comp..

Uninstall DM and then reinstall it on your PC. Try that first.
Try, Options > Memory > Auto Enable Mass Storage Mode When Connected: On
