I downloaded and installed the OS for the phone!! I don't get it, I can't get passed this screen!! Here is a pic of the screen!!

    thanks in advance!!

Leave your phone connected to the computer...open BB desk top manager. Open restore phone your computer will connect with your phone and instale your last backup. Your phone might reboot once, twice...but it will connect. I've nuked my phone..BB storm2 and this is how I get my phone back..hope it works...

Thanks for the reply allenstrm, Earlier I should have mentioned the phone was givin to me by somebody so I dont have any restore points. This is the first time I've installed BB desktop and trying to get this phone going. When I recieved the phone, it doesn't power on. The red LED light keeps on flashing. When I try to connect it to BB desktop software it says its an unknown device. Then a window pops up that gives me options to retry connection or update. Clicking on retry doesn't work, so I try the update option. It eventually goes to a screen and says that I have to check my internet connection, its unable to download the update. I have explorer open and my internet is working fine. I have attached some screens to help better explain my situation.

    thanks again,

find the apploader.exe exactly, and start from there.

You should have mentioned this in your duplicate thread. Download bbsak and run it and see if it detects your pin. BTW you should stop using desktop manager to do this

loader.exe is not going to work properly if it does not detect a pin unless you do the steps here

When you truly brick your BB it wont be fixable with DM. The backup does not contain os files, just data and settings

I've been able to restore a storm with an undetected pin. I started loader.exe and was at the screen where it lists your pin and at that point I put the battery back in the device and plugged it in. I waited until the pin display said 'unknown', then I hit next and it loaded.
