I just picked up the Storm. I don't have a microUSB cable atm, is there a way to update the OS directly from the device?

You can go to options > Advanced Options > Wireless upgrade and update to version .75

But if you are wanting one of the leaked OS's like 113 you have to have cable and do it through your DM.

As of my knowledge, only official software can be updated without USB. For Verizon customers its .75 as the latest.
Your storm should already have that though, the betas here require your cable. :\
