ok so ive tried everything and still cannot get .148 on my storm issue is that when i download and install .148 dm or the app loader will not see .148 anyone got any ideas ive tried disabling the internet still didnt work im currently running dm 4.7. does this matter?? i also downgraded to .75 to see if it would do it then zstill nothing HELP ME!!!!!! PLease!!!

Do you have all other OS's removed from your PC through add/remove programs?

yes all i have is dm and device software updater on here

This has happen to me at times. I would just use Crackmem to wipe the phone and it then forces the loader to start the process of loading the new OS

remove the vendor xml and then use apploader from C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Research In Motion\AppLoader

you know what worked for me was to create another user on your PC and then install desktop manager on that user. It worked for me right away i dont know why but its worth a try for you!

As for the vender file, you can remove it if you want, but I have never removed it. Yes loader will see the phone after wiping. If it doesnt, there is something corupt with the copy of .148 you downloaded. Make sure you back eveything up first.

Apploader is sooo much ezr. Ill never use dm again....

Ummmm, disconnect the network cable right before you fire up DM.

Once it starts working, reconnect.

Bam. Problem fixed.
