Or more specifically, do regular event log wipes help with your phone's performance.

    Hey everyone.

Logmaid definately helps with app memory. Here's what happened for me.

I had logmaid for about about 2 wks. Didn't know if it was working or not but I always had app memory around 37-39.

The other day I deleted it and had also downloaded slacker and face call. My app memory was in the mid 20's ever since.

Now that I happened to see this thread, I JUST downloaded it again about a half hour ago.

My app memory is now 35.5. It was slowly going up from the high 20's and then I noticed that little timer thing in the middle of my screen for a few sec...(guess logmaid was doing it's thing) and when I checked memory it was 35.5!!!!!!

Clearing the log, either manually or with an app is worth a mb or two. If you are seeing 10-15 mb differences it has nothing to do with the log.

Every hour, this app will wait until your phone is idle(Backlight off) then execute the following tasks:

    1. Clear the EventLog
    2. Invoke the Memory Cleaner
    3. Kick start the Java Garbage Collector
    4. Log an event letting you know the log has been cleared

**Works on any Blackberry model from 8100 to 9530.

**Takes up only 1.94 KB of memory

    **Its FREE as in beer

    **Saves Puppies!

    Same OTA Link:

logMaid auto runs as a system module. Therefore, you will not see an icon on your home screen.

Installed LogMaid today and here are the results for me:

10:30 am - 28.8 MB (installed LogMaid at this time)
    12:00 pm - 25.9 MB
    1:57 pm - 27.9 MB
    2:00 pm - 36.9 MB (after doing a QuickPull)
    2:45 pm - 35.4 MB

So I would give this app a thumbs down. Doing nothing for memory and there hasn't been any improvement in any phone functions.
