my coworker just got her storm today...built date 01/09/09 made in mexico prd-19502-002 hers has a green dot on the back where mine made 12/30/08 made in mexico has a blue dot..does anyone know what the difference between the blue mark and the green mark mean?
Uh, green or blue dot on the back inside the battery door or elsewhere?
If it has a green dot on the box, it means they loaded the newest OS...I think blue means previous? When I got my replacement thats what the guy told me about the dot difference on the box at least. Inside the battery door, I have no idea, mines blue from mexico.
Don't think it has anything to do with the OS. All storms ship with .75, it's the latest software for them. Green or blue makes no difference I believe.
I work in quality control and we use paint markers as we inspect even new parts. It could be somthing as simple as varifing that the SD card had been placed in the device.

When I got my replacement a week or two ago, he said they came from the warehouse so they had to load .75 on them themselves, so they used a green dot to verify.
Whether it be green dot, black dot or blue dot, no one knows what the exact meaning of this means. So this is just another assumption and guessing thread. Same like the BLUE DOT thread.
It seems like everyone is afraid that someone might get something they don't have. You all have a storm and I don't have one yet. If it's a blackberry and it works, chill.
While I think your post is nothing but speculation at this point, my new Storm with the blue dot has ZERO dust inside. I've even broken out the LED light and prepared myself to be heartbroken. This one appears to be sealed up tight.

As you told me before even though I checked with a LED flashlight and found no dust......you seemed to think different..............So I say back to you....It's there, check again..................lol

And your post to me................
It's there. Look at your screen in the sunlight or use a flashlight when the screen is off. You will see a bunch in there. Pretty soon, you'll start to notice them on white backgrounds. Not wishing you any ill will or trying to jinx you, but I honestly believe this is a problem that ALL Storms have.
