There are a bunch of songs with calling on the phone as a theme but, there is one that stands out for me:

Call Me at Home by Four Out of Five Doctors.

It is a little dated from a technology stand point. Still, a great song. Those guys never got the attention they should have. They could write great pop songs.

That is my choice. What is yours?

Two of the songs that I can remember that I like about phones are:

Operator (That's Not The Way It Feels) by Jim Croce
    and
    Talk by Coldplay.

I agree on the Jim Croce song, that is a great one.

I am not familiar with the Cold Play number. Still, I'll invest $0.99 and add it in my rotation.

It doesn't really meet the "phone" requirement, but I use "Who Can It Be Now" by Men at Work.

But here are some others that better fit the phone theme:

Hanging on the Telephone - Blondie
    Call Me - Blondie
    Telephone Line - ELO
    Telephone Man - Meri Wilson
Telephone and Rubber band - Penguin Cafe Orchestra (instrumental)
    The Phone Call - Pretenders

Here are some others that are pushing away a bit from the phone per say, but along the talking theme.

Come and Talk to Me - Jodeci
Let's Talk Dirty in Hawaiian - John Prine
    Everybody's Talkin' - Nilsson
Talk To Me - Stevie Nicks

i use this for my RBT for vzw. i set playlists for different people per prefrence/frequency of calling. everyone else gets the default "who can it be now, etc" playlist. they're all songs like that. my favore it is "calling" by taproot. "you're ca-ca-ca-calling, but i can't hear you..."

I'm not sure I completely understand the criteria, do the lyrics have to be someone having a conversation as if they're on the phone?

    Does "Sweet Emotion" Aerosmith count?

    867-5309?

Yeah, from what I got, the criteria is just songs about calling on the phone.

Just listing songs with phone or telephone in the title from Amazon would be in the hundreds. Let's keep it to your favorite song.

No phone, no phone, I just want to be alone today.

    No Phone - Cake

I also used to use Pac Bell - (hed) p.e. as a ringtone, but it's not a very loud song.

Also, what about I Just Called to Say I Love You - Stevie Wonder?
