Here's a new video review that shows the phone very well in good quality. The UI looks much smoother from when I used it last week at the LA launch party. There's also some cool little transitions I haven't seen before near the 2:16 mark.
Thank you for finding and posting that video it was great. And the lag did not look to be all that bad to me but then again he did have to click on a few of the buttons a few times before they worked. My question is that because he was not use to the phone or due to lag??
And ya I loved the little iPhone icon that kept popping up in the corners of the video when he referred to the other phone.....
Earlier this evening I was thinking of just going out and buying a iPhone 3g. But I saw this video and thought "I waited this long for the Storm, and it looks like a great device, may as well wait a little bit longer".
One thing that caught my eye was that starting at 0:25, it looked like he was assuming what I would have assumed. It looks like he tries gliding his finger over the icons in each row and thought only the icon that his finger was one would light up. As his finger travels from one icon to the next, each icon would glow blue and stop as his finger traveled across each icon. Seems like he's tries to do is that a couple of times but then realizes that he has to take his finger off the screen and then put it back on to highlight the next icon. A very miniscule detail but just something I noticed.
Im not sure if anyone else noticed towards the end of the video it seemed like he had to press an icon two or 3 times to get it to respond....
Think that was how he was holding it and the amount of pressure. I've never used one so I can't be sure, but since you actually have to 'click'. Also, he's probably reviewed a few touch screen phones so he's probably used to just tapping the screen with no pressure and getting it to go.
