Trying to get my Wifi to cooperate, not getting the check mark and the WiFi symbol is dimmed...Is that because it is not activated?? Sorry never had a BB with WiFi before..HAHA. Also, still looking for .320 for the 9550 so if anyone has it, plz leak it =)

If I remember correctly from the emulator, there is a WiFi setup wizard that guides you through searching for and enabling a network. Once that is done you can then select and enable the WiFi option in your settings.

Yeah on 5.0 OS there is a WiFi set up on our 9530s lol. Check it out under the help app.

WiFi should work fine on that phone. I even used it in a couple of videos where is connected to my network.

I can go through the WiFi set up, I'm not a noob. But it's just when the WiFi connected, I don't get the check mark saying I'm connected and the WiFi symbol is dimmed as if it were just on not connected, but my network name is there and I can use the browser.

And no you dont need it to be activated for WIFI to work , it should just connect it could be an issue with the connection settings that you have with your wireless router.

What settings should my router be? Any ports I need to change just for the BB?

Have you tried disablingthe VZW radio? Maybe that is overriding your WiFi radio?

It's not connected, and yes I tried. The PIN is bad anyways. I get my other 9550 on Wednesday.

yeah it is a prerelease storm2, if anything it has to deal with ur router try logging into your settings and make sure the settings u have are compatiable. it would be easier if u told us whats ur router name. like its full name

That's only if he's got the b/g/n running. On mine at home, for example, I have my main account on N-only, and a guest account (DIR-655 can have 2 separate accounts ) with G-only. That way, I can take advantage of the higher data speeds, and my roommate's b/g laptop can still connect.

Bro, cmon it's this site is called Crackberry for a reason! Lol. I'm always looking to update my phones. And I have heard .320 is a great build.
