Same here! Downgraded to .517 couple of days ago because of terrible battery drain. Installed maps today, works like a charm Like it so far

works well on my BB 9550.
the first install it would not recognize the touch screen interaction. Changed my browser setting from IE to BB and downloaded it again.. works like a charm

oh and I'm running .517

It works great on .517 , voice search is actually something I can see myself using.

Voice search is awesome! It works so well, I finally uninstalled Bing. It works as well as Android does, without the navigation option. I installed it with the blackberry browser and .428 OS.

I've pulled the battery no less than 3 times, due to GM failure in search mode. no joy.

Works great for me! Last night I updated the OS to .607 using the OTA link. Just updated Google Maps using my BB browser and using the OTA link on the CB Blog article. The new Google Maps transferred all my favorites (now called Starred Items) from former version. I'm leaving for Europe next week, so this is great!

Google Maps 4.0.1 is what is says when it opens and when I look it up under Options/Applications/Third Party. I can't find a more definitive ver. # or id.

Ok....while in Options/Applications/Third Party, I highlighted Google Maps, hit the BB Button and selected "View Properties". Under "Description:" it says (dc=gorganic) if that means anything.

FWIW, I was having the same problems (freezing up while operating in the search pane open) with GM3.2.1. This since I just loaded .607. Suggests it's a .607 issue, not a GM4.01 issue.

thanks. that's what I loaded too, and it locks up every time I go to search. odd that some of us have trouble with it on 607 and you don't.

Yup - same here: 607, downloaded the new GM (using browser set to BB), now it hangs on searches, voice or otherwise. Anyone have a link to the old GM version?

I have lock ups on search if I actually go to search first. If I just go to voice search with green phone straight from the map it works fine. Kinda odd but other than that everything works great.

Works great on my 9550 with .517. Love it. So much easier than typing in the address.

I really like it, very snappy and quite polished.

And it may just convince me to try Buzz, I don't use stuff unless it runs on my phone. Peeking into the celebrity favorite places layer is kinda cool, I imagine it's a Buzz like feature.

can't seem to get the touch version running on .607. Tried again with BB as the identification though I tried earlier in the day and it didn't work. Waiting for the reboot so hopefully it worked this time

Voice search doesn't work for me either. The good news is that the one thing I can still do when it freezes up is bring up my QuickLaunch menu and use the reboot function there...

App locks up everytime I try to do a search. The Exit command won't work, so I end up having to do battery reset to shut the app down. Set all permissions to "Allow" and made sure browser was set to BB vs IE-- no luck.
