When I get my Storm on Wednesday Can I somehow use the Bluetooth on my current phone and transfer my contacts to my laptop via Bluetooth. I really don’t want to go to the Verizon store just to have them switch my contacts. I have the wireless backup with Verizon, but I was told that it won’t work when switching into new Blackberry. Can anyone help? I am so excited to get this baby!!

Can you sync your current phone with MS Outlook? If so just back in up and then use RIM's Desktop Manager to transfer them to your Blackberry.

My suggestion is just type them all back in... by the time you have finished you will have mastered the typing lol!

I will check on that. Thanks As far as the typing thing I'll pass. went through that with Nextel after they erased my sim chip.

There has to be a way. to do this without going to a store.

I had been all prepared to transfer my contacts off my old phone manually, but then the guys at Best Buy transferred them for me for free. If you need to do it manually via bluetooth though, take a look at a program called Bitpim. I've used it foe the past two years to backup sms messages and contacts from a VX8300. Works great!
