Nope its even worst now. I get a weird message once in a while stating that I can only save the MMS not send it.

This was the first thing that I tried after loading 109 and it worked perfect on every test mms. On 103 I could not even send one properly.

yea, I'm wondering what people are saying the issue is. I upgraded to .109, and took a pic (high-rez). Went into the media/pictures and selected this pic, selected the BB button, selected "send MMS", added the contact, and the picture appeared in my screen with the icon right above for me to type. I sent a text message above the image asking person to respond if they got this picture, and they replied back indicating they did.

You can send MMS all day as long as you took the picture. The problem with MMS on any OS since .86 is that if someone sends you an MMS and you want to forward it, you forward a colored square instead of the picture or video. Try it you'll see what i'm talkin about.

I've found that it's not only when forwarding, but also trying to send any pic that was not taken with the storm camera. I tried sending a saved pic that wasn't taken on the phone and got the same grey square.

This isnt difficult at all, its downloading a few files and a few clicks, just looks intimidating. Crackutil is very straight forward and easy to use for this. Let me rewrite it for a step by step.

    1. Download Crackutil if you dont have it
    http://forums.crackberry.com/f35/crackutil-85617/

    2. Download .86 MMS COD file. Pay attention to where you are saving it, because LATER, you will have to move it to this directory C:\Program Files\CrackUtil (assuming you have Windows XP)
    http://hovercrew.net/berry86/net_rim_bb_mms.cod

    3. MAKE SURE YOU USE DM AND BACKUP ALL INFO FIRST!!! Close DM when finished.

    4. Open Crackutil, pick the "file manipulation" tab. Select "Retrieve File Listing Button". Scroll through list till you see "net_rim_bb_mms". Click on file, then use "Remove File From Device" button. Dont worry, Crackutil saves the file, so you can always reload it if you wanted to.

    5. Phone will then reboot on its own, a couple of errors will show on phone, dont worry about them, just keep hitting ok until there gone.

    6. Once the phone is up and running again, go to this directory C:\Program Files\Crackutil (again assuming you have Win XP). Create a new folder, name it whatever you want (I called it Original File). Move the "net_rim_bb_mms" file, that you see, into that folder (thats your original file from phone)

    7. Now find the "net_rim_bb_mms" file you downloaded in step 2, and move it into C:\Program Files\Crackutil (Dont put it into the file that you just made in step 6, that will wipe out original backup

    8. On Crackutil, select "Load File to Device", then pick the .86mms cod that you just moved (C:\Program Files\Crackutil).

    7. Once all that was done, phone will reboot by itself again.

    8. Start up DM and do a restore, and MMS will work fine again.

I'm getting the "No MMS Service Record, message cannot be sent." message

The weird thing is I swapped the .86 mms cod into the java files before I updated to .109............

    UPDATE:

I went ahead and ran crackutil and removed the mms cod (it was showing it was .86) and then reinstalled .86 mms cod and its working fine now...........

I wondering what is causing the mms differences here. I have never had an issue forwarding or sending mms, pics or vids. I'm on 109 now but it was fine in all versions since the crappy .61. I tried what you mentioned but it doesn't matter if I'm forwarding a pic from someone else or if I'm using an image from a website.

In the leak forum some people claim it's fixed, others claim it worked in 103 and others claim it never worked. Is it a setting difference or something else simple?

Go to the post on page one bout using crackutil, follow it step by step, then your mms problem will be fixed.

I done it and am fwding mms' with no problem at all.

    YOU ROCK!!

This was super quick and easy and I see now how nice that little program is too. Sure does save soo much more time than modding the os and reloading it.
