Is there a way to turn on a flashlight WITHOUT downloading an ap?

change the time that your backlight stays on and just touch the screen

You are assuming that i know how to change the backlight setting - I should have mentioned that I am a neophyte to this tool

I do not wish to seem unappreciative - I will do my best to figure this stuff out. Thank you so much!

I added the video camera to QuickLaunch, set it to default with the flash on, and labeled it "flashlight"?

I set my video camera to have the light always on, that way I just turn the video camera on and the light comes on and you don't have to be recording. That led is plenty bright to light a room.

Which app did you use? Was it dmglakewood's? I use that and it works great, but it doesn't use the video camera light because of complications out of his control. It sets the screen white and puts the displays to 100% and works quite well.

    Hello and welcome to Crackberry.

As of now, there is no way to turn the camera flash thru a third party app. Most people just set the video camera to have the light on, and then set it to one of the side keys or quick launch.

I also suggest searching the forums for this. It has been discussed a few times. Here is an example of some the results the word flashlight will give you.
