After doing a device wipe earlier to clear up a issue that I caused myself by messing with it.

This was a low level data wipe simply using the wipe option in the security settings.

I did not delete third party apps.

everything works accept being able to set the voicemail/visual voicemail tone.

Its not even a option in the menu anymore.. Initially under other was "visual voicemail" in the sound profiles.. It is no longer there.

I uninstalled vvm reinstalled still no option for voicemail or visual voicemail alert.

Maybe I am missing something but I don't see it.

after brain farting around from the last problems I have had with bb's

if there is things that are in your sound profile's and all of a sudden there gone..

If you made a backup at the point that they were there.

and you don't want to fully restore the entire backup.

go to advance restore in DM and just restore the phone settings..

the sound profiles are in it.

The options are now restored but it still doesn't explain why they won't come back with a uninstall and reinstall and even some initial install's of app's
