Well I have experience from camping out for sneakers and the last time I camped, I parked right in front of the place so my friend and I started a "list" that populated once people arrived that stated everyones position, etc... I say go converse with the town car and let them know they are 2nd. Most people are friendly and comply when it comes to releases since you both know you are going to end up with one. No need to stand in the cold unless a mob of people show up at once and end up huddling by the door. As I'm typing this, someone arrived here with me so you know what I'll be doing.

I couldn't sleep this morning, I went to bed early so I could get up early and ended up wking up at 2:30! After I still couldn't get to bed a 3:00 I just decided screw it and drove down here. Nobody in line yet in breezy cool SLC. Its about 35 degrees, plus the wind is blowing. My office is accross the street so I just walked over here to hang out for a bit. I work for a news station and the anchors and everyone is here prepping for the 5:00 AM news some I'm just kicking it with them. I'll check back every 30 minutes or so, I brought my laptop and some DVD's for when people start showing up. Its only 4:00 AM here, and the store opens at 7:00.

You'd actually be suprised even in NYC. That's where I camped for the kicks, Alife on Rivington St, Lower East Side. It's common for people to attempt to formulate some kind of list so there is a little order.
