A friend of mine gave me his Storm... Everything works fine xcept i cannot download anything (google maps, sync, slacker, etc) and it says that IT does not permit this download. So we called his IT dept. and they said everything was taken off there end and ive wiped the handheld tons of times and nothing seems to clear it... any ideas????

I believe that IT policies can remain even despite wipes (I'm assuming you mean the Security wipe on the device and not a jl cmdr wipe). May have to do an OS reload or even a jl cmdr wipe on the device to remove it.

Had the same issue yesterday when I was downloading business contacts to my Storm off of my company laptop when it picked up our IT Security policies, doing a system wipe and reload did not clear it - I called Verizon Tech Support who walked me thru the process but you will need to be able to log into you friends companies network to do this.
    Hope this helps

Thanks for the posts. My IT department who loaded the securities did not know how to remove them. I'll call Verizon tomorrow.
