Five, you can't use the OS to hide video files. That's why I spent so long looking for an answer. All I've found so far is this!

When i go onto filelock, it asks for password, and after entering correct pw, it asks if I want to allow access y/n.. after clicking y, it does nothing, but goes back to pw screen. any suggestions

I uninstalled, reset, reinstalled, reset. That didn't work. I tried to click no when it asks you to allow, then reset and click yes the next time. That didn't work.

I tried uninstalling, then seeing if my pictures re appear. They don't!

I just want the pics of my ex back... =/.

i think some of you took this a little far. i personally have some pictures of my fiancee on my phone that i wouldnt want my friends or family seeing if they go through my phone. not all of us are hiding smut films.....to each his own i suppose

This application was not originally intended for hiding pornography, though it does function for that necessity. The program was originally needed for people who work in "Sensitive" positions to lock and hide data from possible snooping.

Your pics are still there BUT if you've locked them with File Lock the .jpg will now be .jpg.lck so the BB media player won't recognize the file format. That's how it works and stops unwanted images etc showing up.

Hit the MEDIA icon on your home page/BB button/explore then search your on board or sd card memory. Then, when you've found them, just edit/delete the .lck back to its original file format.

Jesus people all this guy did was post a little utility to lock videos, don't get all philosophical on him. Ps. Whats the point of putting porn on your blackberry? If you have a blackberry, then you must have a computer; And if you have a computer then why not just watch it on there

I posted a how to hide videos over at HF tip and tricks thread....

I can't find that thread mkilla mentioned, so I'll just post my findings here.

The only way I've been able to hide files (including videos), is using DM to load my Storm and go to media. Once there, my desktop (WinXP) will recognize it as an ext drive. Then I'll select the files I want to hide, right-click>properties, check the hidden attribute box and click OK.

This is one way to organize your files on the SD card. All the files that are hidden will not show up in the regular View list for Picture, Music, or Videos.

**Keep in mind that this process is only to hide the files and not lock them. If someone who knows how to use a Storm and choose Explore, they will definitely find those hidden files once they turn on Show Hidden.**

just something i found is that if you copy the pics onto your computer that are locked and delete the .lck in the extenstion it will work as a normal .jpg again
I.E. 1243-abcd.jpg.lck if you make it 1243-abcd.jpg it will be viewable on your PC
Of course you will have to make the display known file extenstions check box checked in the tools>folder options
