make sure you go to control panel ----> then uninstall all OS's except for .132... if ur trying to do it over .141 then ur issues with lock will not be fixed... you need to do the update with .132 on the phone
Uninstall all OS's except for .132 then go to apploader and it will ask you are you sure you want to downgrade. Then click yes. and its pretty self helpful from there

Yes delete the vendor. Then run apploader to install and after you have the plain jane .132 on ur phone then you can run the hybrid exe and everything after that is pretty easy if you need any steps just refer to page 1 of this thread.

Do I have to install the .132 on my phone? Right now on my phone I have Crackman V4 Hybrid which uses .132.
The Storm wil always disconnect when installing a new OS. That is the point where it hangs for quite a long time while it reboots and expands files. This is where you get the message "waiting for initialization" you will hear (if sound available) the USB disconnect and when it comes back the USB connect sounds. You will also, hopefully, see the phone reboot. HOWEVER I have never gotten a message that said device is unrecognized. Also, yes, seeing that screen about the SIM card being available is normal and I don't think it mattered that you pressed it, but when you try again, if you do, just wait and let it finish. Make sure you are not connecting your phone to a USB hub but directly to the computer which for some people makes a big difference.

I seem to have 3 messages, but I don't have the 'Message' icon anymore. It seems to have disappeared. I showed all of my folders/files and none that are hidden are the Message center. Anyone know how to get that icon back?
