best way to do it is get the Java only .rar in the first post
once downloaded, open it up using Winrar (or another extraction utility that supports .rar)
extract the Java folder over your most current Java folder
then update your Storm

I can vouch for this .141/5.0 hybrid. It just simply rocks.

Ive went from .75 > .113 > .122 hybrid > .132 and now > .141/5.0 hybrid and this one is the best of them all to date.

try right clicking it and Click Run As Administrator
solves quite a few peoples trouble with the same error

I gotta call BS to whomever said the lock doesn't get fixed if you download the hybrid with .141 already installed. I did it that way and it fixed the lock just fine.

Downloaded .141 and the java files, put the java files in the java folder, ran the hybrid installer and its installing now.

It's definitely fixed, if someone installed this and its not fixed then it flat out isn't installed right. Thanks for adding confirmation

Its got .141 in here, but .109 was a solid keyboard
I havent had much issues in terms of keyboard with any of the newer ones. .109 is quite popular though if you are not liking the .141 keyboard

get the one from my signature, its the most up to date version with bug-fixes (it'll still be 2.5 but it has fixes - version will change when I confirm that bug fixes are actually fixed)

Everything is running fine for me except one thing. All bottom keys on the keyboard are not working. (aA,syn,space bar) Any ideas how to correct this?

Instructions worked perfectly. Since I already had 141 installed I just went back to 75 then deleted all the OS's on my machine then installed 132 and ran the .exe, shrunk my OS and installed, the whole process took me about an hour. So far everything looks good. Thanks for the hybrid!

yea it still didnt work.... ima uninstall my .132 and try to re do it all

Ok, What did I do wrong? I followed the directions to the letter and everything whent smooth but now when I check to see what I am running, it says .132...What did I miss

I just checked my keyboard and all the keys seem to be working fine. I have been very skeptical of installing the 5.0 files, but so far so good.

I just wanted to add my 2 cents. I was starting to get real discouraged with the storm and it's endless issues. I had decided to try the Bold or go back to the Curve. I own a trucking company and I switched everyone over to the storm and everyone switched back to their old phones. I was switching too until I saw this thread. Installed this Hybrid on my phone and 5 others. We handles business all day without a crash. All phones will be switched back by Monday. Thanks Lyricidal for this Top Notch build.
