    I've tried to silence the email alert as it goes off loudly everytime I get an email. It is quite annoying. Does anyone have nay ideas? I went through the set alerts menu and saved the change, but to no effect.

    Correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't that an issue with .75 OS? Are you running the OS that came with the phone?

    Yes, I'm running the software that came with the phone. I've only had the phone less than two weeks.

    Sounds > set contact alerts 2 check if u have custom contacts w/individualized alerts.

    If so, requires: Sounds > create a custom profile 2 override.
