Itunes drm idk but for dvds use a dvd ripper. I personally use handbrake and it works fine. Best of all its free!

Use DoubleTwist. It converts iTunes DRM files into Mp3 on the fly. It knows you device you are syncing to and makes the files compatible. It will also sync iTunes playlists and auto-convert DRM files.

Handbrake is the best if you want to manually, and quickly, convert video files.

1. dvdecrypter to rip a DVD
2. handbrake to encode it.

I've done lots of movies using those 2 free/excellent apps and the results are great. movies play with perfect fluidity on my storm and touch.

I am encoding a DVD with handbrake. I'll look into ripping DVD to creat a digital library. Thanks for the help. Will let you know of my results.

my full length movies usually are right around 750-800MB (ie, you've got some setting(s) wrong)

making progress. got audio and a green screen the entire length of the video. Just changed to web optimized format retaining H.264.

Progress but not the desired result yet. 700MB file. I changed file ext from mv4 to mp4. Only audio, screen is green..no images.

all my videos made thru handbrake are mp4 and they look beautiful. never had a green screen
