Is there anyway to get around this limit? I receive emails with 5-10mb files and the phone always tells me it is larger than the 2.9mb limit? Why is there a limit and can I get rid of it? Thanks!

Yeah I tried to email my son's Christmas list to myself so i woudl have it on my phone. With all the picture inside the Doc. it was too big.

    I'd settle for a a 5mb attatchment limit

Why 2.9mb? Doesn't that seem a little small - especially considering today's files? I routinely send powerpoints and word docs much bigger than that.

Guess just another thing I need to get used to with a blackberry now. I don't think my solution to everything can be a third-party app!

Thats all you can do at the moment.

/edit/ I dont read. Thats only for downloading through the browser, dont think there is away around it for emails quite yet.

Can't we let RIM know that this is unsatisfactory and maybe they will open up the bandwidth?

It's totally ridiculous if you ask me. We are paying for "unlimited" data and we can't download data.

I'm coming from Windows Mobile where you could download whatever the heck you wanted.

How does Opera Mini make any difference? We are talking about an email size limit not a browser limitation.

My email has been sent! This makes me a sad panda and I think opera is kinda backwards how you have to use a new window to type in. Only real reason I dont use them.

I found a way around it purely by accident! yousendit.com ignores the 2.9 limit. I have downloaded up to 12.4mb! Haven't needed to go higher yet. You guys have been a great help to me. Glad I finally have something to share!
