This does not up grade the software to .82 this upgrades the platform to .82. But if your one of the dumb ***'s like myself who when you hooked up your phone to your desktop manager and it said there was a upgrade available without reading that it was going to a older version, this will get it back to the factory platform it came with.
If you were dumb like me and reverted back to .76 from .82 platform by doing this, this works like a champ to get the platform back. And belive me, there is a difference in the lag/stability with just this platform. I noticed a huge difference in speed during the 2 hours I reverted back to .76 platform.
Well if mine is as slow as the one in the store and running the most recent OS I can promise it will be going right back to Verizon. I'm content with my Curve, this was supposed to be an UPGRADE
Verizon finally has software on their website. I didn't want to try the Vodophone link the OP posted, but I did the same thing dcoy82 did, so I'm downloading the Verizon update now.
Sorry, I'm new to the upgrading OS and platforms and whatnot, if I download the Vodafone platform, the 4.0.0.76 from that link, how do I install it on my Verizon Storm, and will this change anything at all?
