So I did a search and I couldn't find anything but right now I am running .85 on my Storm but the bottom of the screen doesn't click very well so I am considering getting it replaced. Is it necessary to downgrade back to the official .75 before replacing it? Or will my warranty be void or something by having .85 on there?

Yes, downgrade. If anything other than an official OS is on the device, Verizon can use it as grounds to void any benefits you will get of returning the device as anything wrong with the device will now be something you are responsible for.

It's your option, but if you have the time, downgrade and don't restore your data. It'll only take you 20 minutes tops.

You can wait until you receive you replacement then after you transfer all your info just do a wipe.

you have to downgrade to the official .75..doing a wipe will not downgrade the phone it will only wipe everything and still leave the .85 OS..If you dont have an official OS installed you will be charged for the full retail price of the phone..
