Hey guys I noticed my phone has had a steady 30 megabytes of application memory.
After installing the modded dw for the storm I noticed its down to 25 or so. I did the mem cleaner not a batt pull yet do I need to do this or a soft reset to determine a mem leak?

Honestly, did you check the memory to see what the number was or did you check the memory because of a problem with the way the phone was functioning?

Even Brick breaker depletes your application memory by about 10 megabytes. RIM operating systems have memory leaks by nature. Hopefully they are working on fixing this somehow for future os releases.

its not a memory leak...its just the phone using memory to run applications. After you do a battery pull it will re allocate the memory and get you back to your normal level. Its not something that RIM has to fix, its the way the OS works. A memory leak is when you start with 30mb and an hour later your down to 15mb and you havent really done anything on the phone
