I've heard if referenced as if it does, and since all devices have thus far it would make sense, but when using the Storm simulator, holding the mute key does nothing. Can anyone absolutely confirm the Storm has standby mode? If so what brand/build? Thanks.

I have actually been wondering the same thing. With my 8830 i live on the "sleep/standby" button on the upper left side. Quick clicks to wake it up and shut it down alllllll day. I would truly miss this feature.

No sleep button on it, the dedicated mute button doesnt seem to do anything either.

I have been playing with my VZW storm for about an hour. No stanby mode. Hope this gets updated with the OS. Right now I am using the special leather case you can buy because it automatically goes to sleep when you put it in that.

    That's the keylock not standby.

Very sad it doesn't have it. Hopefully it is a bug.

Neeto, When your in screen lock, if you hold down the mute key it will toggle between vibrate and your other active profile.

I didn't really use Standby mode on my curve. I just changed my shortcut key to lock it & that worked just the same as Standby mode for me.
