I was testing one in Verizon store today...it was connected to power and charging..I noticed it got very hot during use...is that cause it was plugged in ? or is that fairly common? Thanks

If your talking on the phone and your Storm is connected to the charger, it normally gets warm or hot.

Normal. Especially while running streaming radio or browsing the web.

It probably gets a little warm, most phones do. But I have my Storm in an Otter Box, so I never really feel any heat through it.

Mine runs very hot. I'm using the MeterBerry and it seems to run between 87 and 96 F.. first couple of days it was running up to 105... but I was using it nonstop.

I havent experienced this, even with heavy use. However, I never use any of my devices when plugged into the charger, as someone once told me it is bad for the battery to be on the phone while it is charging.

Yeah with heavy use mine gets hot... I sorta wonder if we won't see fans on some more powerful devices in the near future.

Mine has NEVER gotten hot...I charge it in the cradle over night and it's barely gets warm. I hold it in my hand on a 45 minute call and nothing. I surf the web, nothing. I was worried because I remember the orginal Storm was suppose to get hot, but my S2 has never been more than slightly warm.

Just think of it as a computer. You use it, as it gets more of a load, it will produce more heat. Same concept here.
