I saw that SMobile has a security/antivirus app for blackberrys called "SMobile Security Shield for Blackberry". The cost is $39.99. Before I invest I was wondering if anyone can recommend it or another... or is it necessary at all?
If you are looking at this just for antivirus for malware, or "cyber attacks", I would say no. I have been using Blackberry on a BIS account for several years and browse the web all the time. Never have I ever felt the need to have anti virus protection.
If your looking at it for security purposes as in if you lost your Blackberry and had sensitive data on it that couldn't be compromised, then maybe.
