so i did a search and got a million different hits to no avail.
can someone give me a definite answer as to the xml file.
i have verizon, do i have to remove the vendor.xml file when updating?

Not if it's an official verizon release. Yes for beta releases.

i always delete mine, it does not actually affect anything so its not like it matters. i just like to always be sure it will work

The ONLY time you have to delete the Vendor Xml file is when you are loading ANOTHER CARRIERS OFFICIAL RELEASE. If you are loading your carriers OS or a beta OS, you DO NOT have to delete the file. I always delete them, but it's no big deal.
