...I have when connecting to DM.

Whenever I connect to DM I hear the sound form the PC like I am connecting and disconnecting from the USB. This is not new, since it happened with my Pearl, Curve and Storm. It is not the cable because I have used different cables and it is not the PC because I have three and it happens on each of them. It does bring up the Auto Play each time too.

I do not have a problem doing a backup or downloading an unofficial OS. Just wondering what might cause this.

I would do a battery pull on the PC but I can't find it
