I keep seeing people talking about different operating systems other than the standard one that came with my storm. What exactly is this? People keep referring to 6.0 or something. Sorry I know it's a newb question but I had a pearl up until I got my storm a couple days ago and I can do so much more with it ha ha. I am just trying to learn.

To add to the above; it's generally a leaked unreleased OS. They can be unstable but are usually safe. I prefer to stick to the official OS's though.

Yeah on your phone go to options> About, then about 2 or 3 lines from the top you will either see "v5.0.0.607 or v5.0.0.320". .607 is the newest os version.

Better way is

Options > Advanced Options > Wireless Update

Follow the instructions there. If yours is the latest it won't find any updates. If not it will. This only works for official releases.
