I've upgraded my 9530 to .132 and I'm happy with it. BUT, as I like to tinker with stuff, I've been pondering upgrading to .148. Is there a post anywhere that lists the changes with each OS? I'd love to find out what to expect BEFORE I upgrade.

What's the difference between each progressive OS? Has anyone kept a log of this without having to read every post in every new OS thread?

That would be great. I found the change from 75 to 132 to be huge. I may have to go to 148! Not sure I could do Lyricidal's .148/5.0.93 Hybrid though. Like to try, but I'm afraid of bricking my Storm!

Your not going to brick from Lyricidal's hybrid. Download the .148 leak, install it on the PC (installing it on the phone is note necessary), after removing any other OS's and re-booting the PC. Then download the 9530 installer file (5.0Hybrid.exe), double click it, pick whatever you want to Shrink in your OS and then run the app loader. It's a piece of cake and you'll love how it runs. Make sure to do a full backup through DM before you do anything else...always a good policy.

I'm in the same boat as you Blue. I just recently got brave enough to change from 75-132.

I'm just going to keep researching what the differences are before I make another jump. But I have to admit, if the differences moving from 132 to something better are similar to the differences from 75-132, then I'm all in!

i posted the change logs from .141 to .148 in the .148 findings thread on the 1st page of posts...so far, .148 is the best IMO...all issues that previous builds had that prevented from the build from being approved were resolved, and testing ends thursday, so might as well give it a shot now...

One owner's experience -- I found the sound quality of the telephone to be extremely inconsistent on .132, and have had no complaints in that regard so far with .148.

    Thanks for all the responses.

Grey-if it's that simple, I may just run with it!

Crowbar-I'm still a bit nervous, but willing to try the hybrid 148. Sounds like it's worth it.

    Patches-I appreciate your input. Thanks.

i suggest just load the straight .148.

the whole hybrid thing was to swap files for modules that didn't work properly or had some flaw in them, with another one that works. that isn't the case anymore. .148 works amazingly.

so, I was another one who had .75 since day one...went to .132 the other day, and just loaded .148..WOW!
Now I see what all the buzz is about!

Phone is actually FAST now, after reboot, memory used to be 31 megs, now its 42, and, finally, I can say this thing works as it really should!

its a breeze moving from .75 to 132. to 148, so for the folks posting in this thread, who were wondering if its worth it, IT IS!!!

thanks to all the great folks here who post advice and "how to's"...I am no BB NOOB, but, I havent had one in a few years, so its nice to have all these helpful people posting tips and tricks here!

    .113>.114

the revision nunber is lower, but the platform is higher...the only example we've seen so for, but it isn't always true that higher number = better.
