Sorry if this has already been posted, but just wondering from those who've had both, what the key differences are from OS .517 and .604. (good or bad) When I bought my S2, it came with .604, and I do notice some issues.

    Thanks in advance!

The difference is simply that .517 has NO issues and .607 has a lot..

I don't chime in too often, but I will say that I am someone who ALWAYS updates to the newest leaks or hybrids. I have never once felt the need to go backwards after doing so... UNTIL .607. I went back to .517 and am happy again. For me, I use Opera Mini all the time, and while there was an easy workaround, it was still an issue for me. Now I wouldn't have changed OS for that, but I also noticed that the phone (at least for me) would lock up if I tried to send an email by pressing the BB key twice, which is how I usually do it rather than hit the SEND button. I don't use BBM so that wasn't an issue for me personally, but that seems to be a big issue for those that do. My two cents. I'm actually running Lyricidal's most recent hybrid for the .517 and I am VERY happy with it.

That's what I was running most recently. While I had no good reason to change OS's yet again I have always been a big fan of Lyricidal's hybrids so when I saw his .607 based .669 (I believe) I tried it two days ago. OM bug is obviously still there but it's been good so far. The only reason I changed is that to me the click is smoother is .607 and it results in faster more accurate typing for me. I have become so accustom to loading hybrids that it's not a big deal to go back. Which to be honest I anticipate having to do but we'll see.

I successfully downgraded to .517 las night, but now my phone just seems slow. The transitisions are slow, moving icons around the screen is slow, apps are slow, any reason why this might be?

I also seem to be getting an "Uncaught Exception: java.lang.NullPointerExeption" error a lot, i'm very confused. The downgrade seem to be a smooth transition.

I will also add that I ran 517, then 607, then 517 and now back to 607 (after google maps issue was fixed).

The phone is noticeably snappier and less laggy once it settles with 607 but it comes with issues like the opera bug and the BBM Group chat issue.

I had signal issues with 607. I dropped calls in my house a lot and I never do with 517.

I really liked 517, but decided to try Lyricidal's 623 hybrid. no regrets. I can not honestly say which is better, 517 vs 623, but I think I preferred 517 due to what I would describe as some "instability" in the way my phone operates now. I never tried 607, and it sounds from the other comments that it was a good idea not to. I might downgrade to 517, or just wait for another better OS/hybrid until 6 is here.

maybe it's just me, but .517 seems to be significantly slower than .607. That seems to be the biggest "bug" I've noticed from either.

You still have 517 radio, even with the hybrid. I am using a hybrid as well, but the radio makes a big difference.

517 is indeed slower that 607. i completely agree. I downgraded for a bit to solve another issue i was having with a twitter app and ran 517 for a bit, could stand how slow it was. 607 flies

iHeart radio works without fail on .517. on .607 and all hybrids its hit and miss, mostly miss. The .607 radio was horrible for me as far as signal and battery life. It even drained my 3300 m/a battery down pretty quick.

I had the same issues on 607, but iHeart on 517 has almost no volume for me for some reason.

my bluetooth wasn't working well with 607... now I'm able to listen to music using my Jawbone Icon. Plus I use wi-fi in my house so I can access my browser without issues of speed. I'm loving the downgrade .517 from 607 (totally disliked the bugs in .607, especially the keyboard issues)

As I sit here listening to iHeart radio, I have been noticing that too. It started out loud, and the longer it plays, the lower the volume is getting........strange!

I tried .517 due to not being able to bring up keyboard in bbm groups but I found a way around it. The worst about .517 for me was the double calendar entries! That was it for me I went right back to .607.
