I was looking at the new verizon site and now the dimesions for the storm
say 2.2 compared to the 2.4 reported before. Also if you watch the 360 degree tour
it looks more narrow doesn't seem to show as much silver (or chrome) on the sides?
Not that it's a big deal, just something I noticed.

The dimensions differ on the Blackberry site and the Verizon site...The Blackberry site has the Storm slightly bigger than what Verizon lists...
Yeah, according to VZ site it is smaller in every dimension than the curve

    Storm 2.2 x 4.1 x .5
    Curve 2.4 x 4.2 x .6

I'd love that, but it can't be right

Verizon is listing 2.2 by 4.1 by .5... 2.2 by 4.1 is my LG Dare... so that doesn't sound right to me.

    Of course it got narrower.

Remember your physics, specifically Einstein's theory of relativity? The Storm has a faster processor than most previous Blackberrys. As objects speed up, and approach the speed of light, they look smaller to an observer on the outside. Eventually, if they went fast enough they would appear have vanished.

I took a little poetic license with Einstein's theory

I've noticed some of the pictures on Verizon's updated site are showing pictures of it that look more similar to an iPhone in dimension than the shorter, wider (compared to iphone) picture that appeared on the mail-out postcard I received weeks ago. I wonder what that's about.

Often you US guys and gals say that Verizon restrict some features of their phones in order to make more money. Maybe this is the Ultiamte version of that... you have to pay an additional monthly subscription to get the extra 0.2 x 0.1 x 0.1 inches of plastic

Excellent poimt. Also, considering that the U S Dollar isn't worth as much, we don't get as much Storm for our dollar.

LOL! Think how much it'll be worth after we vote for "change" and become the People's Republic of America after today...

But as long as the screen doesn't get any smaller, I'm ok with the rest of the chassis
