Interesting, but I think PhoneArena probably gets their info from the same places we do..

I like the idea of a pressure-sensitive screen.. that might be fun

Wait, this claims it's GSM. There's been a lot of talk about it being a VZW phone. Thoughts?

    Your right!!!

It's possible the prototype was shown as cdma but judging from the details shown there....it's possible we're looking at the 9520 folks. We'll see.

If true... this means that I will be switching to the Palm Pre

I was going to give the Storm another chance thinking it would come to my carrier... bit I guess not. Oh well.

With 2100? Doubtful. Makes no sense tho with ATT getting the 8900 on Friday. Perhaps Rogers? They have had the 9500 the longest.

If you guys look at the screenshot you can see where it says activation required, which generally means cdma phone and also that it has the meid? number blacked out, which is not gsm!! this has been discussed on some other forums, the pictures you see is of a cdma phone, no worries

Phone Arena is wrong. Much of their pre-release specs seem wrong most of the time.

That's a possibility. Everyone was thinking the 9630 would be exclusive to VZW, when someone said that Tmo would get it as well. And then later, we find that they are getting a variant of the 9630 Tour. So the same may happen here. The fact that we know, however, is that this phone is coming to Verizon.

It also has a sim card slot in it, which is not CDMA!! Only time will tell.

Ok. Speculation. RIM is pressed for a touchscreen. They devise a new tech, surepress. They release it as the 9530 for VZW and (was it telus?). With a GSM version already made it gets released to Voda but by this time the 9530s are getting complaints. So no one else picks up the 9500 and RIM starts on a new touch mechanism. We will never see the 9520 because they will renumber the new Storm but there will be once again a CDMA WE and a GSM only version. Enter Odin (9730?)
