On the curve and pearl it had 2 options for deleting emails. Just deleting them from the phone or deleting them from phone and mailbox. Does the storm do this and if so how?

Yes, you do have that option. If you go into your email and then hit the blackberry button and then choose options then Email Reconciliation, you can change the field that says Delete On: from Handheld, Prompt or Mailbox & Handheld.

I'm not sure if there is another way to do it, but the way I delete more than one message is they same way you would use the copy and paste function. I just use two fingers, with the first finger touching the first email that I want to delete followed by the second finger touching through the amount of emails that you want to delete. Then the emails that you want to delete are all highlighted in blue. Then just go down to the bottom of the screen and click delete. Hope this helps.

You can also just highlight the date bar and hit your bb button and select delete prior.
