Date Completed in Tasks

If I have a task with a due date of July 10, for example, and I finally complete it on 7/22, I want the Date Completed to show 7/22 for obvious reasons.

Instead, when marking any task complete in BB, it shows that it was completed on the due date no matter whether the due date was in the past or in the future.

Is there any way to correct/modify this so that when I complete a task, it shows the current date as the Date Completed?
