On my nokia i have a counter for in/out data usage.

I can not find something like this on the storm and i would like to keep an eye on the data usage for GPRS to make sure i dont break any limits.

Is there something built in to do this or is there a freebie application that allows it?

I think you have Verizon on your Storm. Anyways, they don't have that. It would be pretty useless because the plans are unlimited. This is assuming you have Verizon or an unlocked Storm with TMobile or ATT. I'm only saying this cause I know, some what, understand their data plans.
I don't know how other phone providers work.

But if you know you have unlimited then it's kind of useless.
Or saying it wasn't it still doesn't have one.

I know with Verizon you can dial #DATA and it sends a text with your usage.

No im with Vodafone UK and there is a 500mb fair usage policy. It is not totally unlimited.

Search for "minimon"
Its a java app...worked wonders on my BOLD...since the Storm has a similar set up you should be able to run that too.
