I'm just curious as to pricing on the bb plans? I currently have the dare with the premium plan that includes unlimited net, email, txts, navigation, IM...etc with 450 minutes(everyone I know is on verison no need for more minutes) for 79.99. What do ya'll think a plan with simular features would cost with the storm?
the current plan you have won't work with a blackberry ur going to have to switch your plan to blackberry plan with verizon.
basically, the data plan which is mandatory costs 29.99
and i believe the cheapest plan they have for minutes wise which is 450 minutes costs 59.99 or 49.99 i believe its 59.99
then VZ nav is another 9.99
so I'm pretty much looking at roughly a 100 bucks a month for the same features. I really want the storm, not sure I can justify the additional costs though. Good thing I have a couple weeks to think about it.
Calling the Blackberry e-mail vs. Mobile Email "the same features" is a bit of a stretch. The Blackberry mail interface is leaps and bounds better than that monstrosity Verizon calls Mobile Email. But if Mobile Email is getting the job done for you, then yeah, it'd be a costly switch.

if you have family members that are also with verizon you might want to look a family plan, i pay about 190 a month for my plan and my moms seperate plan, when the storm comes out i plan on switching to the family plan which is 99.99 + 29.99 = 130 a month
$69.99 for 450 minutes, 5000 night and weekend minutes (you need to get the 900 min. plan for unlimited nights and weekends), and unlimited email/web. Additional $20 a month for unlimited texting puts you at $89.99, which is what you would pay for a Storm without VZ Nav each month.
