As I browse looking for answers to questions that I have regarding the storm, it appears that in the last several days that the web traffic is slowing or momentarily crashing the Crackberry.com site. Anyone else notice it?

there's a post on the main blog page about it this is definitely the case. The forums have actually reached a all time high of visitors on at the same time.. They are updating server things and such to help improve for the added people

Yes, you are correct. The inrush of Storm users has slowed things down, they are currently adding more servers and working to fix the issue....

This has been going on even before the Storm was released they need better servers.
