So.....Every morning when I wake up, my new Storm 2 had duplicated all of its contacts, sometime there is up to 30 of the same contact. I am new to BB in general, and this is driving me crazy! I have google sync running from my google contacts. It has even gone as far as erasing some of my contacts.

My BB handset is now more accurate then my contact list on my desktop. All the other threads have me resetting my handheld, but that is something that I can not do as it is the most accurate now.

Is there a program where I can download all of my contacts to desktop and save them there, and then upload the ones I want back? BTW, for the last 5 days at least I have manually deleted over 400 contacts, this is pretty time consuming! GRR

If anyone can help me it would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!

I had a problem similar to this a while back and I unselected the wireless synch of contacts with my email address. I just back-up on the desktop manager once in a while and I havent had the problem since.

You can't use Google Sync (from google) with the enhanced gmail plugin that comes with your OS.

Well, that's only HALF true. I still use Google Sync for syncing my calendar. You just don't want it syncing your contacts if you have your Gmail account set up on your phone because it will sync contacts too.

Just moved from a BB Pearl that was working fine with Google Sync for contacts and multiple calendars. Is this only a 'Storm2' issue?

From what I've read this is only a Storm2 issue. At least from what's been posted.

Per above, I had the exact issue. Just as mentioned you have to shut off the wireless sync of your contacts. Now I use Outlook to back up my contacts.
