contact transfer

this has probably been discussed before, but i dont feel like searching lol. Is there any other way to transfer contacts from one storm to another without having to take it to a verizon store?

Are you wanting to move /copy all of your contacts or just a few?

Wow! Admitting to not doing a search is suicide onthis site! Back up your device on your computer. Then plug inyour new one and sync. And check out blackberry 101 while you're at it!

ok, then i dont want an answer from you, right now im just restoring my new storm with a previously saved backup file from my old storm using desktop manager, hope it works

Use the Switch device Wizard in desktop Manager. It was made for the job.

I would like to share one category of my contacts with a friend who also has a Storm. Is there an easy way to do this? I have searched for several hours trying to find a post on this topic, but all I see are posts about transferring all contacts from old phone to new phone. Thanks in advance.

just do a BT contact transfer....

I would love to and I thought it would be easy, but apparently not (at least for me). I paired the two storms, then went to options and changed the contacts transfer to Selected Categories Only. That brought up another line on the screen that says 'Categories:' but I can't figure out how to tell it what category I want to select - it skips from the Contacts Transfer button to the LED Connection Indicator button. Help!

Anyone ever figure out how to select categories for transfer? I have too many contacts for my bluetooth car setup to transfer them all so would like to use categories, but have same problem as stated above.
