In any case, I have not (yet) experienced it with .517. I think this is similar to the dreaded chirp on the 8330 back in the 4.5 days.

hmmm...how many calls have u made while on 517 and how often would it act up with 451? roughly every 5 calls? 20?
Dave, I just loaded .517 so I haven't had it long enough to say its fixed. With the few calls I've made, I haven't experienced it yet.
On .428 and .451 it was far too random to give a pattern. Sometimes I would go weeks without it, sometimes it would happen twice in a row. Very random.
Mark, I don't remember the issue on .320, but I'm not 100% sure.

I talk approx. 6000 min/month all over US an Canada. I haven't had an issue with clicking yet. I had the calls drop, mostly when switching from EVDO to 1X and back. Some times the call quality is not stellar but, I thing it depends on the distance from the tower. I had .320 then .428 and now .517. I used a hybrid for about a week but it didn't work for me...random reboots.
You might have a bad radio on the Storm. I had a similar problem with my previous Storm2. The BT would disconnect and reconnect randomly and then would drop the call. I had the device replaced and the issue was resolved.
Everyone is doing well with the screen? I have a conversation after not responding to touch, mainly in the bottom of the screen and there are double-triple clicks
