I was running the .75 OS and on the fence about going to a beta release. Looking at the speed results people have been getting in my area (Queens, NY) convinced me that something at the OS level was slowing things down for me. So, I finally decided to take the plunge and upgrade to a beta OS(109).
I just finished the upgrade (which went smoothly btw)and the results are markedly improved.
Indoors on .75
High = 96
Avg = 84
Low = 74
Indoors (testing in exact same location) on .109
High = 294
Avg = 178
Low = 131
I just finished the upgrade so can't comment about anything else on the OS other than these speed results and thus far very noticeable increase in browsing speed. For me, this improvement alone is worth the upgrade. Obvisouly can't say this same improvement will be for everyone going from .75 to .109 but might be enough to consider making the move!
