Seattle, indoors with two bars (I get lousy service at home!), on Verizon.
High: 183
Low: 183
Av: 183 (you think? LOL!)
What's interesting is when I tether I get 800+ kbps downloads and 100+ kbps uploads when testing. Even more weird is that I get even faster speeds if I go out in the Sticks in Eastern WA!
^ No its not just you, happens to me too.. I have to push down and drag to read what they're supposed to say before releasing..and the one across from the "i" just sais ** lol..instead of Home I'm guessing. Probably they just didnt optimize it enough for the storm yet.
*I guess you cant say H O on here...gonna be a bummer when Xmas rolls around again

ehh, guess ill hv to live w/ it until they optimize it for the storm =( (guess so, since its still in beta)
I sent this to a buddy with an iPhone. He's in L.A. and got 580 at the airport. Is he pulling my chain? I'm surprised he could double mine and wonder if there is some sort of defense. I get tired of being owned.
It's called WiFi........ one of the few things the iPhone can boast over the Storm.......
not at all - 1.1mbps over 3G on the iPhone with WIFI turned OFF
The Iphone 3G's browser is not much faster than the Storm's browser, if at all. Definitely not 1.1mbps vs 140kbps. I'm not sure how accurate this Cisco thing is. It seems much faster when browsing that the 140k that I get.
Three test. I live pretty close to the sticks, no where near downtown or anything. Will try tomorrow around town. Why did BB version say Beta, but not the iPhone? Might lead to incorrect readings?
::: sigh ::: I don't know how you guys are getting such "high" speeds. To date, my high is 88 and the average is a mere 79. This is indoors, Las Vegas, NV.
I would like to see this avail. to compare to other phones like Omnia, G1, other BBs, etc. And when the networks advertise their 3G speeds they quote their broadband speeds. Are there any official results on companies test on the phones to compare?
