Can you take the sim card out of the storm and put it another phone? I work two jobs and one involves plowing snow and i dont wanna screw up my storm.

the storm supports sim cards for gsm networks out of country. If unlocked it semi works on other carriers gsm.
Verizon uses CDMA and the radio in your storm for cdma is internal as cdma does not use SIM cards.
You can do ESN swaps on the website however I am not sure if there is a limit in a period of time for doing that.
You may just want to invest in something to secure or protect the device better.
