Casual User Vs. Hard Core BB Fanatics!
Ok.
Brief Background: My wife and I each bought BB Storms, and they are on their way. I found this site and I am like a kid @ X-mas, trying to take it all in and make a wish list of things I want to do and I'm studying and learning a lot. But along the way I have realized that "battery pulls", "crashes", "memory problems", "bugs", etc., are a plenty especially when things are changed, altered, or after market updates and apps are installed.
Now my wife and I are what you would call "casual users". I mean the goal is to use the phone, play some video, play some music, and surf.
With that in mind, will I really need to change anything? Will I still need to do the dance of the "battery pull". I fear my wife will get pretty pissed off if she spent $100.00 plus on a device that is going to be a constant pain in the booty especially pissed @ me for being the driving force behind the purchase.
My only chance of surviving her anger is that fact that we on occasion need to unplug the house modem and restart our PCs so I can explain to her that since the BB will be connect 24-7 that on occasion a restart will be needed, i.e. a "battery pull".
So for the casual user what should be done? I do want to toss the navigator cause we are not subscribing to it, but is there anything else?
Funny thing is we probably won't even notice 1/2 of what is being report here in the forums.
thanks,
James
