Hi, my car radio has the option of playing music from an external mp3 player via usb but for some reason when I plug my storm in it comes up with an error saying that it cant read it, I have tried with songs on media card and on the phone but had the same problem.

Any ideas?

With some stereo's you have to switch over to the AUX mode. Have you done this?

I think it detects when player is plugged in, but will double check...

Yep no matter what option I used (AUX or USB) it still chucks up the same error

if its a newer chevy, mine works. i have a 2007 hhr and i just plug and play. i can even use my phone if it rings and press speaker i can hear it on the speakers of the car so i can talk taht way. cause god knows the bluetooth on the storm sucks

I have a kenwood 7" LCD H/U... I bt my storm's music as well. It's not as loud as I like.

But the H/U I have has iPod, USB, and AUX inputs... I have an 8GB thumbdrive plugged in.. it's pretty sweet.

Storm really isn't the best device to plug into a stereo for music....

Interesting... the BT on my storm works great in my car for phone calls.
