Yeah, do a back up for the phone and 3rd party apps, download 148, delete any other OS's you have (via Control Panel), install the exe, delete the vendor.xml and launch the Loader.exe (or install through DM).
I just installed .148/hybrid 5.0. It is running so smoothly. I am loving it.
I had had regular .141 installed, but this is simply amazing.
Just make sure you delete that vendor.xml file though.
This is awesome!
Everything is so fast and smooth.
I LOVE IT!
It is the phone I've always wanted lol...

Surrre, you all are saying this now. I think im still gonna wait.
I do have a question for mr_bb. Is there noticeable performance improvements over the .141/5.0 hybrid?
Yes, there's a noticeable difference in a couple different ways...
1) Switching to different applications while on a telephone call is lightning fast
2) 3rd Party themes are much faster with .148/5.0 hybrid
3)Typing is noticeably less laggy....still sorta slow in the browser though.
4) Keyboard presses are more accurately processed :D
If you use Quick launch, you have no choice to use the hybrid as it fixes this issue. I am addicted to QL. so they hybrid was a must. Anything from Lyric is going to be awesome.
Well that is sounding pretty enticing. And a man with a name like mr_bb has to be a trusted source if you ask me. hah
Next time i get access to my personal computer i may find myself impulsively downloading it, ya know, just to get my fixx.
Yeah I LOVE lyric's hybrids...and the most recent one is absolutely perfect...perhaps a bit buggy once in a blue moon, but nothing I'm not already used to.
:p Yeah you can trust me....I've been using blackberries for a while, but only started using the forums recently.
It was for me. Although from past experience with leaks it is a bit too soon to tell for sure, the upgrade to .148 from .122 seems to have been worth it on my particular device.
Been 48 hours, and so far so good.
Yes, my keyboard issues were fixed (keyboard goes away/cursor jumps into middle of word without reason). And I am glad someone mentioned the hybrid. If you're going to do the upgrade to .148, you might as well install the hybrid on top. nothing shy of amazing.
Yeah the "jumping into the middle of a word" thing was driving me crazy! I'd forgotten it's fixed in .148 hybrid...
Thanks for pointing that out :)
